We don’t have a brick-and-mortar store, so we don’t have the typical seasonal list of classes and workshops. However, we do offer the following lecture and workshops to area (New England and New York) quilt guilds and shops. If you’re interested in any of these and are in the indicated area, contact me through the website and I’ll get back to you right away. If you’re not in the area but would still like me to come to you, contact me. We can talk and maybe work something out. I never say never!
Follow the development of a quilter through the approximately 35 quilts in this trunk show. Emily’s quilts range from the early 1970s to 2005, when she was forced to stop quilting because of health issues. Watch the evolution of fabric design as well. How many of these fabrics do you still have in your stash?
These girls make everyone who sees them smile. Why not make your own? This five-hour sewing workshop will get you on your way, making those gobble-wobbles, lettering your protests, watching the girls come to life! Suggestions offered on how to individualize the girls as well. A fun workshop for all who attend!
It’s all in the preparation. Three pieces of fabric, some time on prep, some simple sewing and voilà! You have a quilt top. We’ll discuss how far you can take this truly simple technique.
This is not a class in appliquéing a pattern. We’ll start with simple shapes and work our way up to layering. By the end of the class, you should feel comfortable appliquéing points, inverted points, corners, curves and fabric on fabric.
Are your hand-quilting skills rusty? Have you never hand quilted? Let this workshop be your refresher/starter course to bring you back to this relaxing craft.
